When I look in the mirror, I see an imperfect body. A body which has its fair share of wrinkles, blemishes, and unsymmetrical parts. A body which, according to the standard media projections of aesthetic beauty, might need some work! π
And you know, humour aside, it hurts me to even write this. Because we all know that these glossy generic images are completely unrealistic. Utter b/sin my opinion.
When I look more deeply into the mirror, I am able to see the most beautiful body. πͺ
A body which has lovingly transported my emotional soul through a myriad of challenging experiences on this path called life and continues to do so. What a strong, loyal, compassionate friend my body is! π
And, most thrilling of all, it is a body which is vibrant and pulsing and alive. A body which knows how to move, sound, and express its joy and is capable of feeling the most blissful sensations. A body which is fully here and which is bursting with vitality and energy even when parts of it suffer from aches and pains from time to time. Wow! Thank you, body! π
Through tantric practices, I have learned to cultivate a deeper connection with my body, exploring my pleasure without judgement. This journey of self-discovery has enabled me to come into a greater sense of acceptance and appreciation for my bodyβs innate beauty and wisdom. π«
As many of you know, Tantra encourages a holistic view of the self, recognising that physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects are all interconnected. By integrating these elements, it has really helped me to develop a profound sense of body confidence rooted in self-love, acceptance, and empowerment. πͺ
