This morning I did a particularly moving meditation in which the invitation was to remember our innocence and purity. Just this sentence alone moved me to tears and encouraged my heart to soften and open. Open 💓
We are all perfectly imperfect human beings doing the best we can and we don’t and won’t always get things right. And most of our clumsy behaviour towards ourselves and others comes from our deep rooted desire to be seen, heard, known, felt and loved 🥰
Once we begin to re-parent ourselves and to offer ourselves the unconditional love which we are desperately seeking in our external world, we begin to attract energies and experiences which affirm our sense of belonging. We learn to feel a gentle tenderness towards ourselves and begin to heal old wounds. And, slowly slowly we become less attached to specific outcomes and more present and attuned to what is most wanting to happen for us in our lives. 💫
Where in your life can you show yourself a little more self-love, kindness and forgiveness? Which of your feelings want to be noticed and acknowledged at the moment?Â
Self-Liberation
To find forgiveness in your heart is in the end what saves you
Soft opening is where it starts, trust in the love God gave you
Do not be curt though you’ve been hurt, find ways to bring your kindness
Do not retaliate with dirt, refrain from gestures spineless
Forgive their blows and soothe your woes, embrace the growth and learning
Forgive yourself for well you know, next time you’ll be discerning
Forgive the distance and the masks, forgive imperfect treatment
If you need closure, then just ask, to move on is achievement
For when you choose to not accuse the bruises start repairing
It doesn’t mean that you approve or that their view your sharing
Acceptance is a wise old art, don’t let your pain enslave you
To find forgiveness in your heart is in the end what saves youÂ
